Welcome to Molas Lake Campground
The 137 acre Molas Lake Campground peacefully sits among the most spectacular peaks in the Rocky Mountains, offering quality amenities in a low-frills environment. While we don't have internet or electricity, we are completely surrounded by national forest and other public land and have all the nature and scenery you could ask for.
Campground guests (tents, trailers, campers, and RVs welcome!) enjoy fishing a well-stocked, twenty-five acre lake, immediate access to the Colorado Trail and tons of other hiking, biking, and mountaineering opportunities, and star-gazing in the evenings (no light pollution here!).
We want our guests to "get away from it all" in the truest sense, relax, and occasionally sit in awe among mountain peaks and remarkable scenery.
If you need a reality check, you can always enjoy the ten-minute drive into Silverton where you can check your email or grab a latte. While Molas Lake campground is its own destination, it is also a great place to set up base camp for exploring Southwest Colorado and the San Juan Mountains.
