You will see the equipment used in mining, the rich silver veins and other mineral deposits. The stopes, declines, crosscuts, run-a-rounds and drifts 
will be fully explained. You will visit the work areas and see how explosives are used (even though there are no explosives underground at this time). The thrills and experiences you will enjoy at the Bachelor-Syracuse are too numerous to mention here, so we can only say you haven't experienced the heritage of Ouray until you've toured the Bachelor-Syracuse Mine!
The Bachelor-Syracuse Mine Tour takes you 1,800 feet horizontally into Gold Hill, rich in gold, silver, and other precious metals. Guests are at all times accompanied by a thoroughly trained guide who has first-hand experience working the mine. The guides are prepared to answer questions and eager to share the legend and lore of the mine.
